Borno Government Postpones 2026 Budget Presentation

The Borno State government has postponed the presentation of its 2026 budget, which was earlier scheduled for Monday, December 15, before the State House of Assembly.

The development was confirmed in a statement issued on Sunday, December 14, by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar.

According to the statement, the presentation of the 2026 Appropriation Bill by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum was deferred due to unforeseen circumstances.

The government assured the public that a new date for the budget presentation would be announced in due course.
